Both sides of the freeway burnt out for 10k in the Wandong / Kilmore region. Skies are clear by this point.

KayZed on the AAWT
The Australian Alps Walking Track, AAWT, stretches from Walhalla, 200k east of Melbourne to Tharwa, 30k from Canberra. A total distance of 680k odd and elevation +/- 30,000m
Why? Because it was there :)

I was wondering if you had started and where you might be at and then I found your blog. There's no amount of planning that can factor in fires like this. We are expecting to have to reschedule. Very disappointing but others have lost way more. Good luck with whatever you decide.
