Shell top is great. Shower proof + warm.
Shell trousers did wet through as expected, but they were not cold. They are a good fit good but need to have the ankle width increased so shoes can remain on to get them on/off
Tarp ok so far. Lifters are giving plenty of extra room but look a bit fragile when it blows.
Rain poncho wets thru - need more work on this one.
Reception on phone has been 100% so far in places that haven't worked
on other phones.

Good to see you are getting to test out some of your gear. I will do likewise this weekend but have cancelled all my leave. Given we are a team of 5 a reschedule might have to wait until the Spring for us. I guess then we could be battling snow instead of fires! That is the beauty of the Alps: they always have the upper hand. What type of phone are you using? And we are being soft and using a Tarptent with a tub floor and insect netting. I like your option.
