Day 15

Day 15 30k. Camped at 550 232. Oh boy what a day! This was easily the
worst track so far and I hope there is nothing more like that. The
regrowth along the fire track was so thick I missed the turn off and
lost an hour. It was the so overgrown with blackberry snarling things
- took 50 min to move half a k. Morras Creek at the bottom hours
later is a muddy oily mess the banks are lined with blackberries that
must be very carefully negotiated. The climb out of here is a pig due
to a confusion of false tracks. Looks like every one loses the track
at this point and you are forced to pick your way through more
blackberries and other rubbish to regain the track. To top off the
day my pristine creek for camp was completely dry and I had just 500ml
of water, which would have to do. Then about 9 pm God decided he had
amused himself enough and sent the first decent rain in 2 weeks
letting me collect 5l of water off the tarp. Knew there had to be a
2nd use for it!
