Put it on your list of to do's. Easier than you think . Road comes to within 7k, all relatively flat and a hut at the 5k mark. 7-8 people had come up yesterday and stayed at the hut.

KayZed on the AAWT
The Australian Alps Walking Track, AAWT, stretches from Walhalla, 200k east of Melbourne to Tharwa, 30k from Canberra. A total distance of 680k odd and elevation +/- 30,000m
Why? Because it was there :)
