These guys really got whacked. Hardly a sign of regrowth. Very dry country and all of sudden the flies are out in force.

KayZed on the AAWT
The Australian Alps Walking Track, AAWT, stretches from Walhalla, 200k east of Melbourne to Tharwa, 30k from Canberra. A total distance of 680k odd and elevation +/- 30,000m
Why? Because it was there :)
